THE WORLD'S YOUR OYSTER

"I WANTED TO MAKE THE BIGGEST DRAWING IN THE WORLD."

Erik Nordenankar set out to create the biggest drawing in the world when he handed DHL a sealed Mission Impossible-style briefcase containing a GPS device. With it was a document outlining the in-depth postal instructions - to be followed meticulously - that would ensure the briefcase travelled through six continents and 62 countries. Throughout its heroic journey, it would beam data back to Nordenankar’s computer and plot its path across a digital map. Thus emerged an image of the artist that, in reality, measures 110 664 km long...

Who would have thought a briefcase could make such a useful drawing tool? Check out the site here and the awesome video of the project below. Interesting how some people are claiming it's just a viral for DHL. One of Erik's colleagues at school just piped up in support on YouTube. But the finger pointers - sat on the sofa at home for 24 hours a day looking for resourceful people to slag off on their laptops - will soon accuse said guy of being in on the whole thing. Hats off if it is a viral; it's a cool idea.
